2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse Brake Light Check Engine Flash Car Will Either Shut

the brake light and check engine light flash at me. the car will either shut off on me or the power steering goes out when this happens. i have checked oil steering fluid and brake fluid. why is it doing this?

You will loose power steering when the engine dies.Have the car scanned for codes and let me know the exact code numbers not code descriptions?
