I have an 2002 Mercury Sable. I was told that my 02 sensor is out in my car and that I have 2 sensors on my car. Where are they located and are they hard to replace?

My check engine light came on a few weeks ago and I continued to drive my car. Had it checked for codes by Autozone and was told it is the 02 sensor. My car runs fine but does use more gas than before.

SOME ARE HARD TO GET TO--OTHERS ARE EZ

LISTEN CLOSE!

GET US THE "EXACT" CODE(S)!....NUMBERS AND LETTERS

NOT WHAT SOMEONE SAYS IT MEANS....EVEN IF YOU GOTTA HAVE IT CODED AGAIN

THE POSSIBLE REASON FOR FOR THE ABNORMAL FUEL CONSUMPTION IS THE CARS COMPUTER MAY BE IN "CLOSED LOOP" (RUNNING OFF OF THE COMPUTERS PRESET INPUT, KEEPS IT RUNNING [MAYBE INEFFICIENT], WHEN A SENSOR(S) DOES NOT WORK) INSTEAD OF "OPEN LOOP" (WHERE THE COMPUTER USES OUTSIDE INFO FROM SENSORS TO RUN THE VEHICLE EFFICIENTLY)

YOUR TURN
