when i started the car i heard a clicking

I tried to start my car and all i heard was a clicking sound the lights on the dash were on so i think the battery is ok

A quick clicking might be from the starter solenoid. Hold in windings. This might be a week battery or a poor connection . First check the cabe connections @ the battery and work your way down to the starter and neg cable ground
