My car was making what sounded like rubber rubbing on something sound. I took it to the mechanic and it stopped making the noise. On my way home the noise started again. When the wheel isn't perfectly straight or I go to turn it to the left even just a little bit it makes the noise. Sounds like something rubber is rubbing on something. Sometimes tines its kinda like when you put a card on a bike tire and then ride it. My mechanic put it up in the air and said he didn't see anything but that he thought io tore my fender wall a but since there was a little chunk missing but that it should be fine.

if there is anything protruding into the travel of the wheel from the broken piece, it could be the inner fender as indicated
