low idling

my mb c240 has 104k the idling is low when in drive position and at stop at the traffic light. should the idling be adjusted to a higher position or it adjust by itself automatically?

It it controled by the computer. The computer sends a signal to the idle air control valve that is responsible for idle speed. Check that to see if it is carboned or not working properly.
