2002 Mercedes Benz C230 Gearbox

My automatic c230 merc won't change into second gear. It goes it reverse and drives on first,but won't change into two,rev count hoes up but won't change. Filter and oil has been changed. What could be the issue.

May be a failed shift solenoid, go get a scan on the transmission and see if there are any fault codes set, start here.
