2002 Mazda Protege 5 Sport Wagon Had Car About 1 1 2 Years Change Oil

I have a 2002 Mazda Protege 5 sport wagon. I have had the car for about 1 1/2 years and change the oil regularly.Everytime I have replaced the oil filter, it appears that no oil has passed through it. What could be the issue?

That is a good one. Oil has to pass through it.
