2002 Mazda 323 Astina Problem

Hi I own a 2002 Mazda 323 Astina 1.8L DOHC Manual and it has been having several problems lately. Firstly the car idles very low and the car almost stalls when stopped at the lights, it goes up and down and when it goes down thats where the car almost stalls. Secondly when I take off, particularly when engine is cold but also sometimes (occurring more often) when warmer, the car starts kangaroo hopping. I make sure I release the cluch properly and accelerate slowly but it still happens. The only thing I can do is make it rev higher and quickly change into second. All the other gears are fine its just when I take off in 1st. I really need to have these problems fixed and your help would be greatly appreiciated.
