Why won't car idle?

I just took my car out of storage where it had been for 6 weeks or so. The battery was dead so we jumped it to get it started. It died twice before I could get it home (2 miles). I charged the battery all night, and had it checked today, it is fine, but the car will not idle, and it kills when you are at a stoplight. Have to give it gas to keep it running. It ran fine before putting it in storage. What could be the problem??
