car wont idle and will stall after battery disconnected

went to disconnect neg battery cable, went back to connect it, car will start, but will not idle.. I've driven it about 10-15 miles to try computer relearn procedures.., and i've tried touching the battery terminals together.. worked for a little but then car died.

Check the idle air control valve and also scan the computer for code/s

You will need to do the IDLE RELEARN. Basically you start it and keep the RPMs over 1500 for a while then go drive it for 20 min above 55 to 60

When air passages for the idling system are clogged, disconnecting the battery would cause stalling.

Relearning is required but cleaning the idle control system would eliminate the stalling even while it is relearning.
