how it ran before (for the timeing belt question)

It ran great before, just now all of the sudden does not want to start unless I floor it, that is why I was wondering about the alternator? I can not think of any other reason it would not be running right, because everything is aligned correctly....

my husband figured it out... He had the timing off a hair when he first tried to start the car back up, so the valves collapsed.. He is replacing all that tomorrow UGH here we go again!! LOL
