Power Steering problem

When my Jeep sits for awhile or overnight or the temp. gets cooler, my power steering does not work unless I hit the gas to rev up the rpms. I dont appear to be losing any fluid and I han not heard the pump making any noise. What could be the problem?

check to see if your belt is good as well as the tensioner first. then have the pressure checked n thepump. it might be hwat they call sleeping sickness wher ethe seals iside t he rack are leaking while cold.
