My oil goes on and off while iM driving

My oil light came on so I put 3 quarts of oil in and now my oil light turns on while im stopped, not all the time.

Was your engine 3 qts low on oil?

Well if engine is not ticking I would suspect bad oil sending unit. You will need to have oil pressure manually checked. Or just have sender changed
