the oil pressure gauge goes to 0 when idling and the check gauge light comes on, when you give it gas it goes up to normal pressure and the check gauge light goes off what causes this and is this normal i just bought this jeep

Your oil pump slows down at idle. Use an analog gage, double check your oil pressure at idle.
