My truck is making a ratling noise that comes groom the engine don't know what it is most mechanics tell me is the lifters or the valves or the rods it kind if quiets down after a while but u could still here it .

It is hard for me to identify sounds without hearing it. Can you tell me this, does it sound more like a ticking or a knocking?

It us more like a ticking it usully fades away a little bit when the truck gets warmer but u can still here it when u accelerate

If it is a ticking, chances are it is a lifter that needs adjusted.
