How do you replace the heater core? What tools are needed?

Thank you

Four or five different kinds of screwdrivers, AC refrigerant recovery machine, safety glasses, face shield, and gloves to work with refrigerant, spring-lock AC hose disconnect tools, multiple types of pliers, 90 degree pick to pull the heater hoses off, AC recharging station, ratchets and sockets to lower the steering column and unbolt the heater box.

Your best bet is to get a copy of the manufacturer's service manual and read through the pages of instructions. The uncommon, special tools will be shown at the end of the Cooling and AC sections. This is at least a full day's job for a professional. You'll want to know what you're in for before you turn it into a basketful of parts. EBay is a good place to look. Don't waste your money on Haynes or Chiltons books. They cover the simple things anyone can do. Chrysler manuals have wiring diagrams, special tools, torque specs, and a lot more information.

To make an exact list of tools is not practical. The need for different tools will vary widely on two identical vehicles or with two different mechanics, depending on the variables they run into.
