My jeep is over heating because the fan isn't kicking on by itself. I hooked up some ground wires to the battery and the fan will run that way. What is causing my fan not to kick on it's own?

there is a fuse for the fan. if it is blown, replace the fuse and the fan as that is most likely what blew the fuse. there is also a relay in the relay center that is controlled by the pcm.

you need some help from a shop to check this for you and give you a bid.
