2002 Jag VandenPlas won't start. New battery, plugs, altenator been sitting now for 2-3 months. Everything in car cuts on when key turned, but engine won't crank to start car. What can I do to resolve this issue?

This is either the security system not recognizing the key, the immobilizer thinking the car was in an accident, the gearshift not in park, or a bad starter/wires.

Have you tried your other key?
Giggled the gear shift lever?
Jumpered the starter directly from the battery?
