have the ac checked with a set of guages, it may be empty.

If refrigerant is up (no leaks), check your exterior temperature sensor .That was the issue on my 2000. It was a $65 Canadian from Ford. Check to see if your ext. Temp reading on dash is believable. If not , put in new sensor. If this is not it check the dccv fuse (10 amp ,#32 under hood). If ok test dccv. If ok check 2 hot dccv (red)outer wires to dash.
