I have a 2002 Isuzu Trooper 4x4, automatic. Can I replace the shock absorbers with the vehicle's weight on the wheels? If need to jack, okay to jack under control arm?

My first time doing this. I believe there are enough room for me to get to the bolts. Don't want to jack up vehicle and remove tire if I don't have to. Can I replace the shock absorbers with the vehicle's weight on the wheels?

If I do have to jack the front up, is it safe to jack underneath the control arm?
