2002 Isuzu Trooper check engine light is on

Dashboard Screen appear light (Check Engine) I tried by removing battery poles for while then replace them again, samelight Check Engine appears as I started the car.Electrician said you have to plugged to a computer diagnosethen they can delete it, start the engine, the phrase will disappear.

IS THIS CORRECT? IF IT APPEARS AGAIN WHAT'S THE SOLUTION?

you have to scan the engine to see what is wrong first. it will give a code on computer then fix it then remove the code. Othewise it will get bad fuel mileage.
