I had the timing belt changed in my car. There is a squelling/chirping sound come from the engine compartment. It tends to get quieter when the air condition is turned on. Any idea on the cause?

Have the drive belts and crank shaft pulley checked. If crank pulley is equipped with harmonic dampers, ensure the damper is intact. Note if the pully is moving in a wavy pattern, indicating a bad harmonic damper.
