2002 Isuzu Axiom active suspension shocks one is leaking and has started to fail

Ok I'm trying to avoid the big bucks to replace the active suspension shocks (one is leaking and has started to fail). The sport mode is too rough and the non-sport mode is too soft anyway so I figure why not use 2002 Rodeo shocks. The Axiom is supposed to be built on the same frame. Do you know if this can be done? Or do you know of any shocks that will fit this vehicle.
