Okay I sent my 2002 Santa Fe to get both front axles replaced and when I got my vehicle back it makes a noise like metal scraping metal, also they're telling me that its my transmission. I don't believe its my transmission because my cousin lifted it up on jacks and put it in drive and reverse but it does just fine no noise or anything but when its off the jacks and you drive it the metal scraping metal sound is still there. I believe the mechanics made some sort of mistake but wont admit it because my vehicle didn't have this problem prior to taking it to the shop. What could it be?

The shop touched both front axles so I would inspected both front axles from the brake rotor inward towards the transmission. Check and make sure the thin metal plate behind brake rotor is not contacting the rotor or moving parts. Make sure the brake components/bolts are secure. Make sure none of the bolts were replaced (besides the large on on the end of the axles in the center of the rotor) whey would most likely appear different in bolt head design.
With the vehicle jacked up on the front end and properly supported on jack stands rock the tires left & right at the 9 and 2 o clock position. Shake left and right at the 12 & 6 o clock position to check for play.
