air conditioning is blowing hot

I have a 2002 hyundai elantra and the a/c stopped blowing cold and a few weeks later the car started getting hot what could the problem be? a/c went to blowing hot as the car comes up to operating temp then about two weeks to a month the car went to running hot

i would have the cooling system checked first for the overheating. it may be a coolant leak or a bad thermostat.

the ac issue is separate. it needs to be diaged by a shop to see if it is freon related or electrical related.
