2002 Hyundai Accent Gasket Question

Quik question I have to replace the tranny pan due to it leaking. I have a new dorman pan and gasket being shipped by Amazon. My question is do I have to use silicone on both sides of the gasket before I install it?

Do not use any sealant, there is no need to at all, just make sure that both pan and transmission faces are clean and dry, sealant can get into the transmission and cause serious problems.
