Car was parked with windows down, & when I got in car 5 hours later, my window wouldn't go up more than an inch or so. What could be the problem- someone suggested it's the window motor- & I need to know what all it could be, & how much it would cost to fix it, both for parts & labor, & about how long it would take?

Usually such problemas are due to weak motors. Sometime bad run channels can cause it as well. Manually pull at the door glass to lift it while operating the switch and see what happens. You might need to repeat the process with up and down movements.

As to costing, you would need to check locally.
