I have a 2002 Honda Civic - i just noticed a noise when i turn, its like a bang noise - my brake light has been on for awhile - i had it checked out, the mechanic checked the brakes and they are fine - if the light is still on, could this be the problem. Thanks

Brake lights would have nothing to do with noises. Have the brake switch stopper at pedal checked. It could be missing after disintegrating due to age. It could be a bad switch. Why is the mechanic not able to rectify the problem?

As to noise problem, it is almost impossible to diagnose in cyberspace. You need a physical and visual inspection to locate the source.
