2002 Honda Accord Told That Japanese Made Cars Run Hotter Than American

I was told that japanese made cars run hotter than American made vichicles...Is that true? I was told that I need to use GKB spark plugs because of that...Is that true?...Does that mean that I shouldn't use anything but GKB sparkplugs?

It is NGK or ND (Nippondenso) that are recommended. Spark plugs are graded and you can use any that matches the recmmended rating but apart from ND or NGK, others don't seem to work too well.
