Mostly a common problem. The oil is from the valve cover gasket leaking. Inside the valve cover, there are round o ring like gaskets (they're actually kind of flat) that keeps oil from well, where you see it. Not a huge job at all to repair. Next, you need a long extension and a deep socket to get the plugs out. If you don't have a tight fitting socket, you may need an extension magnet to get the plugs out once you have them totally unscrewed. The melted wires, well they can be quite tight to get off. You may as well replace them, they're not expensive. Just reach down as far as you can with long needle nose plyers and rip them off not worrying if you destroy them since you are replacing them. Just take note of the routing and thier lengths for when you install the new wires. I would label them with tape as to where they go and install the new wires one at a time after measuring them up against the old wires. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks, -Luke
