2002 Holden Barina radio

Hi there, the radio on my car will not turn on, and it just comes up with a message of "code" on the dash

the time and date still work, and it will turn on and off
but the code message will not change

please help, need my music

You should have the radio code in the owners radio handbook, if not contact your local holden dealer and get the code from them, they will need the car's VIN No that is the 17 digit number on the rego label, when you have the code keep a copy in a safe place as the radio will need re coding every time the battery is disconnected, you can also get a code saver, this is an adaptor that you plug into the cig lighter with the ignition left on ACC it uses a 9 Volt battery to hold codes with the main battery disconnected.
