i have a small amount of green fluid leaking, what might the problem be.

coolant leak. have the system pressure tested for the leak

thanks for the quick response however I already knew it was coolant and was afraid there might be a problem with the head gasket, is that a possibility?

yes, but before you assume anything, have it pressure tested. there could be leaks from anywhere in the system
