how do i replace the vapor canister for a 2002 gmc sierra

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
Disconnect the rear evaporative emission (EVAP) purge pipe (2) at the chassis EVAP purge pipe (3).

Disconnect the fuel tank EVAP pipe at the EVAP canister.
Disconnect the vent valve pipe (4) at the EVAP canister.
Remove the EVAP canister bracket to crossmember mounting bolt.
Remove the EVAP canister from the vehicle.
Remove the rear EVAP purge pipe from the EVAP canister and the retaining clip.
Remove the EVAP canister from the EVAP canister bracket.
