I have a 2002 gmc sierra pickup 4 wheel drive. My transfer case has gotten pin holes in. It has ran out of fliud.I am in process of installing a new one. The new one is identical except for the shaft that slides into transmission is smaller. My old shaft has 32 splines. The new one has 27 splines. Can I take my old one and switch it with the new one. Or is there any other solutions that I can do? Please help this frustrated shade tree mechanic.
