4wd problem

my 2002 gmc envoy has no 4wd or no switch lights could it be a fuse or the switch itself...or s/thing else?

I have the same problem as Birdman. Wife went out and drove in snow today, and got stuck in an intersection. What an unopportune time for this to happen as we get blasted with an Idaho winter storm.
