- tightening tappets on 2002 windstar

can u give me any info on how to tightening tappets as i changed my real dirty oil yesterday and now the lifters are very noisy , so i thought i should tighten them . please advise ......thanks kindly

No, no, no. They are hydraulic. You do not tighten anything. If the lifters are clattering, then you likely let it go way too long and now they are not pumping up. There is no fix for that short of rebuilding the engine and boiling the block. Change the oil next time.

If your oil was extremely dirty you might have a clogged oil port. Hydraulic lifters are not adjustable
