I am having some shifting problems, it grinds into 2nd, 4th and reverse

Hi, i have a 51 plate transit td280 swb i`m having trouble with the gears, 2, 4 and reverse they are really difficult to select and usually just grind when i try to engage them 2 is the most difficult however they are all still there and do select 5/10 times any ideas or do i need a new gear box ?

MAYBE A REBUILD???

SOUNDS LIKE THE SYNCRONIZERS

HAVE YOU CHECKED FLUID LEVEL (MAY BE TOO LATE)

As CJ said, make sure the fluid is full, Other than that, it sounds like an issue with syncronizers. Replacing them would be less expensive that replacing the entire trans unless you can get a good used one.
