I noticed a faint high pitch sound when i step on the gas and also if in drive, when I put it in nuetral it I don't hear it. Also when I was waiting for someone with the engine running there is a some white smoke coming ot of the tailpipe. I need an oil change, could that be the reason?

No to the oil change. Are you sure the white smoke isn't just steam? also, as far as the noise, I would start by trying to locate where it is coming from. Check for vacuum leaks.
