2002 Ford Taurus Transmission?

Came to a stop sign and car would not move in drive, low1, reverse, etc. There was no noise associated with this. The car still starts and runs and gear selector still moves but transmission still won't engage.

Check fluid level if you are able to as a lot of cars now have no dipsticks otherwise have a trans guy look at it. If fluid is black or dark brown take right to a trans shop
