Alternator is a year old. Heating/AC repaired in Mrach. Battery less than a year old.

When I just started my car it shuttered and made a rattling sound. When I hit the gas it shuttered and then raced a bit. It does the same thing when I stop at a light. Then the engine light came on.

Can you tell aprox where the rattling is coming from? Also, check for vacuum leaks and check the IAC for idle problems.

No. Im not a car person. When it shutters it feels like its going to break down. But when I get going and dont have to stop it ran smooth.

It feels like its going to stall especially with the engine light coming on. No issues before tonite.

If the check engine light is on, have the computer scanned to see what trouble code the computer has stored. Most parts stores will do it for free. Then we will know what to check first.
