Seems to be locked in the rear position. Makes a clicking sound when the forward position is pushed. Goes up and down just not forward. Is there a bypass for this until I can purchase and install a new switch?

Hello,

It sounds like the seat motor has locked up or the switch has gone bad or something is stuck in the seat rail. Here are some diagrams to help you check the problem out and get it fixed. You will need to remove the seat in most cases to fix the problem.

Check out the diagrams (below) Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

The power seat will move up and down, but not forward and back, looks like no obstructions on tracks. The motor makes noise, and it sounds like it wants to move, but nothing happens. The dome light does not dim when I engage the up and down function, nor when I try to go froward or backward.

Thank you

The motor needs removed and checked for damage to gears. Also, you may hear the motor running, but it may not have the power to move the seat or the gears are stripped and not moving the seat.
