My 2002 Ford Taurus idles rough and hesitates when accerating. Diagnostic computer indicates random miss-fires, and EGR issue, replaced EGR, and fuel filter, problem remains, any idea on what to check next ???

If the vehicle hasn't been tuned up for some time. it may be a good time to do it. Also, check for vacuum leaks. Finally, make sure none of the plug wires are arcing and are tight and make sure fuel pressure is within spec.
