why do i only get 4 mpg in my 2002 ford ranger truck

Im only getting 4 miles mpg. I have looked for leaks and have seen nothing & there is no smell of raw gas.

Check for vacuum leaks. Scan it for both soft and hard codes. Check fuel pressure. See if it bleeds down quickly after turning the key off.

Change the oil and filter, the fuel filter and the air filter, also.
