I went to change the oil in my 2002 ford mustang v6 and the drain plug was stripped so I took the oil pan off and drained it that way, once I put everything together the oil dipstick said it had 3 quarts of oil so I put a little bit in there and now the car won't go into gear.

check the linkage to the transmission. Chances are you did something to it when removing the pan. Have you fixed the drain plug?
