YES THE FILTER NEEDS TO BE THE SAME OR EQUIVALENT TO THE ORIGINAL FILTER

BLEEDING IS UNNECESSARY ON A GASOLINE ENGINE

IF YOU CAN BLEED THE PRESSURE DO THAT 1ST

IF NOT, I WRAP A RAG AROUND THE FILTERS CONNECTIONS TO KEEP IT FROM SPRAYING ON ME, WHEN I POP ONE SIDE LOOSE

hi, changed the fuel filter with no problem easy in fact. The reason i change it is because of shuddering when accelerating and slight back firing. A mechanic suggested i change it because there could be water in it, but its still doing it and i have put some injector cleaner in the fuel as well. Any further advice what be appreciated.

If you are getting a shudder, make sure the fuel pressure is within spec and you may want to check the engine for a tune up if it hasn't been done.
