i drive a 2002 ford focus. the engine light is on and is reading code p0171 system too lean.

it drives ok but when stopped at red lights it constantly revs and then stalls. have been told its a fuel problem and also have been told i need a new o2 sensor. keep getting different answers from different mechanics

Since its reving i would say its a vacuum leak have you checked for one of those yet?
