2002 Ford Falcon Disconnected Battery Clean Green Crusty Build Off Negative

Disconnected the battery to clean the green crusty build up off the negative terminal.connected it back up and now the engine idles really bad and even cuts out when I slow down at traffic lights.Googled the problem and everyone says to reset the ecu by doing the 4 steps(car in drive ac on ect ect) but its still just as bad.

you cleared out the memory when you did the service. drive the car on highway for about 10 miles as it has to learn how to run right again.
