2002 F150-while driving Oil light came on, oil pressure dropped, started ticking and I immediately pulled over & had it towed home where it now sits. It does have oil, but badly in need of an oil change.(Just bought it and had yet to have it changed). Several ppl told me it's prob the oil pump, however I should change the oil and and then see if that works. Also was told to add seafoam to clean it out, I thought seafoam was for the gas tank only? Basically I need to know if there is a way to troubleshoot the oil pump b4/after the oil is changed?

Ignoring an oil change is the fastest way known to permanently destroy an engine. If the inside of the engine is sludged up, you have a real problem. There is no good solution for that. If you add something to attempt to clean it, you will make the problem a lot worse. That sludge will loosen up and start breaking off in big chunks and those chunks will get caught in places that they will do even more harm.
