I just got a price to fix my engine temp sensor and for a tune up this person wants to charge me 425 does that sound right? It is on a 2002 ford explorer 6 cyl 4 door.

That depends greatly on what is included in their "tune up". For the coolant temp. Sensor, it takes about 1 labor hour to replace which is normally around $100 without tax or parts.

2002 Ford Exploder: Where can I locate my Temperature Sensor on my engine----my "NEW MANUAL" shows a Temp sensor and a Temp sender, which is it?

SORRY---THATS WHAT IT TOOK FOR ME TOO START FIXIN' MY OWN STUFF (A PUSH INTO REALITY), ESPECIALLY WITH A LITTLE RESEARCH, INTO THE "SEVERITY" OF THE TASK, IT MIGHT BE EZ (as changing a temp sensor)!!
