I replaced the MAF sensor and the Coolant temperature Sensor and vehicle doesn't run still. Driving down the highway one day and lost power wouldn't go above 2000 rpms when I hit the gas. I pulled over and the truck died. When I started it back up I would hit the gas and it would shut off and when it idled it was real sluggish. I towed it home its in my driveway and now doesn't start at all. I bought a diagnostics computer and it read a bunch of cylinder misfires and multiple misfires.

I also got the code p0113 came up as 1 circuit high input intake air temp. Sensor. On my vehicle it is part of the MAF sensor. I replaced the MAF and still doesn't start. I also replaced the Coolant temp. Sensor for the hell of it cuz I noticed it was bad. What is wrong with my truck?

It sounds like the air intake temperature sensor has shorted causing the PCM not to work here is the location of the sensor which is in the air intake tube heading to the throttle body. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Hello. Thanks for the donation. Much appreciated.

I have looked in my manual for the IAT sensor and the 2002 ford explorer 4.0L sport trac is not fitted with a Intake Air Temp Sensor.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you require any more information

I have a haynes manual tat I use to do most of the work on my vehicle. It seems as though a lot of the digrams shown for my engine are off. I am having trouble finding the IAT sensor. It is not located on the plenum. Could it somehow be an accessory that I don't have. This is an Eddie Bauer 1994 Explorer, 6 cyl, pushrod 4.0 liter. Please help!

Located in the air tube before the throtle body and right after the air filter and mass air flow sensor almost over the valve cover u can see the wires

The IAT and MAF are actually in the same sensor. See the info below.
